CAD TECHNICIAN

This CAD Technician position respects the importance of personal time, giving you the flexibility to stay refreshed and prioritize what matters most outside work hours.

As a CAD Technician, you'll work closely with the Draft Manager to create and verify floor plan drawings for various clients, utilizing Planitar's proprietary software, Draft, as well as other CAD tools like Autodesk's Revit and Verisk's Xactimate. Training will be provided through iGUIDE Academy to refine your expertise, with potential future specialization within the Drafting Department.

• Create iGUIDE Floor Plans using Planitar's proprietary software, Draft, for residential, commercial, and insurance restoration clients
  
• Create ESX Floor Plan Sketches using Verisk's construction estimating software, Xactimate, for insurance restoration claims clients
  
• Create DWG Floor Plans using Autodesk's software, Revit, for architecture, construction, and engineering clients
  
• Address and report production issues to the iGUIDE Drafting Team Leader
  
• Participate in cross-functional, continuous improvement initiatives as opportunities arise
  
• Complete additional tasks beyond drafting, such as AI annotations, marketing research, information gathering, and case studies
  

Requirements

Qualifications Needed: Building Blocks for Success

• Currently pursuing or completed a degree or diploma in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field
  
• Experienced in using CAD tools and software (Revit, AutoCAD, Xactimate)
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or Google Workspace
  
• Able to meet tight and shifting deadlines
  
• Skilled in advanced computer navigation
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Strong organizational abilities, including task prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management
  
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
  
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Revit (preferred)
  
• Reliable commute or plans to relocate before starting
