Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Amazon FBA Purchasing Assistant to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will support our team in forecasting inventory, placing and following up on orders, managing supplier relationships, and other related tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Inventory Forecasting:
- Analyze sales data and trends to forecast inventory needs.
- Develop and maintain inventory forecasting models.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to predict demand for products.
Order Placement and Follow-up:
- Place purchase orders with suppliers based on inventory forecasts.
- Monitor order statuses and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage and update order records and documentation.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality.
Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is maintained.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage incoming shipments and inventory storage.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Administrative Support:
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to purchasing and inventory management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records and databases.
- Support the purchasing team with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Inventory Coordinator, or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory forecasting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory management software.
- Familiarity with Amazon FBA processes and requirements is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
