Role Summary
Our client is looking for a Buyer who will be responsible for successfully procuring all items identified by the replenishment management system for their area or responsibility with the primary goal of accurately and efficiently achieving the desired service level and inventory goals. This role will be responsible for functions including, but not limited to system management, inventory management, and supplier management while working with the internal team to exceed desired goals and procurement standards.
WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Central Daylight Time (10:00 PM 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

Essential Functions
- Place accurate and timely purchase orders for assigned product lines and suppliers
- Monitor all open purchase orders efficiently and accurately
- Make proactive suggestions about product voids and stock opportunities
- Manage inventory levels to meet service level goals and minimize shrink
- Monitor deliveries and proactively work to ensure supplier delivery schedules are met
- Review lines on an ongoing basis to identify areas of potential cost reduction and opportunities for additional efficiencies to reduce the overall costs of purchasing
- Work with suppliers and logistics to ensure orders are being placed in the most efficient bracket
- Work with suppliers and purchasing team on any issues, including, but not limited to overstock, shortages, quality issues, etc.
- Review inventory status reports to identify changes in sales and review and adjust inventory levels to maintain appropriate levels and exceed service level goals
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the company, and the community
- Maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in merchandising management, business, accounting, finance, or related field is required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a buyer or similar role
- CPIM, CPM or CSCP certification is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, specific to glass and glazing
- Close attention to detail and proven organizational skills
- Proven negotiation skills
- Displays exceptional math skills
- Has excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology for procurement
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines timely and efficiently
