- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform business valuations for a diverse range of purposes, with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, as well as tax reporting, financial reporting, and litigation support.
- Conduct due diligence for M&A transactions, including financial analysis and synergy assessments.
Develop and maintain complex financial models using Excel and other valuation software, particularly for M&A scenarios.- Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and deal comparables to support M&A valuations.
Prepare detailed valuation reports and present findings to clients, potential buyers, sellers, and other stakeholders in M&A deals.
- Assist in structuring M&A transactions and providing strategic advice to clients.
Stay current with valuation methodologies, M&A trends, and regulatory changes affecting deal-making.- Collaborate with investment bankers, lawyers, and other professionals involved in M&A transactions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines typical in M&A environments.
- Contribute to business development efforts, particularly in attracting M&A advisory work.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in business valuation, with a strong focus on M&A transactions.
Professional certification such as ASA, CFA, or CVA strongly preferred.- Comprehensive knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and accounting principles, particularly as they apply to M&A.
Proven track record in valuing businesses for M&A purposes and supporting successful deal completions.
- Strong understanding of deal structures, purchase agreements, and other aspects of M&A transactions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with valuation and M&A software.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
