As a
Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into actionable data models, and create visually appealing dashboards and reports that drive informed decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who can work independently, has a great positive attitude and an aptitude to learn.
Paginated Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain paginated reports (e.g., using Power BI Report Builder, SSRS) to deliver detailed, structured information optimized for printing and exporting.
- Service Building: Create and manage data services that integrate disparate data sources, ensure data consistency, and provide a foundation for BI solutions.
REST API Integration:
Leverage REST APIs to access and consume data from external sources, expanding the range of data available for analysis.PowerApps Development:
Build custom applications using PowerApps to empower users with self-service BI capabilities and automate workflows.Data Modeling and Analysis: Transform raw data into meaningful insights through data modeling, aggregation, and analysis techniques.
- Dashboard and Report Creation: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI (or other BI tools) that clearly communicate key findings and trends.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and refine BI solutions.Performance Optimization:
Ensure BI solutions perform efficiently, monitor data quality, and troubleshoot any technical issues.Documentation and Training: Create clear documentation of BI processes, data models, and report functionalities, and provide training to users.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the BI space to continuously improve processes and tools.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.
Strong proficiency
in Power BI, including paginated reports, Power BI Report Builder, and DAX.Hands-on experience
with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) or other paginated reporting tools.Demonstrated ability to create and manage data services (e.g., using SQL Server Integration Services).
- Proficiency in consuming and manipulating data through REST APIs.
Experience
building custom applications using PowerApps.Excellent SQL skills
for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desire to learn and adapt
to new technologies and tools.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Power BI, Microsoft Azure, or other relevant technologies.- Experience with data visualization libraries like D3.js or Chart.js.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working in the financial services industry (if applicable to BSA Solutions).
