The Business Development Officer is tasked with supporting identifying, researching, developing, and managing business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Evaluate and monitor the entire sales process, and partner performance, and address any concerns that arise during the client relationship cycle by recommending appropriate actions or solutions
- Drive the sales process from start to finish to achieve sales targets
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
- Perform market analysis to identify potential areas for business growth
- Cultivate and manage client relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate effectively with all parties involved
- Ensure timely submission of all deliverables and conduct reviews as necessary
- Represent the company at conferences and trade shows
- Stay informed about the latest trends, strategies, and technologies in event marketing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, finance, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in the events industry is acceptable as well
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and cultivating strategic partnerships
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in verbal and written communication
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong critical thinking abilities, highly analytical, and exceptionally organized
- Solid understanding of business principles
- Attention to detail
