The Business Development Officer, assists clients with complaints, orders, or inquiries regarding products/services, offering tailored solutions to address individual situations and prioritizing customer needs throughout the process. On the other hand, Sales roles involve selling products or services to customers and representing the brand. This includes asking questions to identify the best offerings, conducting demos or presentations, and nurturing customer relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting customers in resolving problems or issues they encounter with products, services, or orders in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Providing personalized solutions to meet individual customer needs or preferences, including upselling or cross-selling additional products or services when appropriate.- Keeping accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, inquiries, and resolutions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Offering technical assistance and troubleshooting guidance to customers experiencing difficulties with products or services.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements, customer service enhancements, or product/service modifications based on customer feedback and experiences.
Demonstrating products or services to potential customers, highlighting features, benefits, and value propositions effectively.- Evaluating leads to determine their potential as customers by understanding their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making process.
Engaging in negotiations with prospects to reach mutually beneficial agreements and successfully closing sales.
- Setting and achieving sales targets or quotas set by the company, department, or individual performance goals.
Staying updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and professional development opportunities to enhance sales performance and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- With a Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in negotiating terms, prices, and agreements with customers to reach mutually beneficial outcomes and close deals successfully.
- Meet sales goals by providing product information and driving sales opportunities on every call.
Familiarity with sales software, CRM systems, and digital tools for lead management, pipeline tracking, and performance analysis.- Ability to empathize with customers concerns, demonstrate patience, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor, even in challenging situations.
Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands, company policies, and procedures, as well as technological advancements in customer service tools and platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers across various channels such as phone, email, chat, or in-person interactions.
Proficiency in additional languages, specifically English, to assist customers from diverse backgrounds.- Proficiency in managing conflicts and resolving disputes between customers or between customers and the company in a diplomatic and effective manner.
