Job Description

Position Title: Business Development Manager- Pet Food

Work Set-up: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
    • Analyze competitors and market conditions to inform strategic planning.
  • Lead Generation and Sales:
    • Identify and engage potential retailers, and partners in the pet food industry.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market reach.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, distributors, and other stakeholders.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking events to promote our brand and establish connections.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
    • Develop and execute business development plans and strategies.
    • Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs to ensure targets are met.
  • Product and Brand Promotion:
    • Promote the company's pet food products through various channels, including digital marketing, social media, and in-store promotions.
    • Work with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Qualifications

Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the pet food or pet care industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the pet food market and industry dynamics.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Highly skilled negotiator
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
    • Able to deliver 1 on 1 or small group presentations
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
