Position Overview:

As the Business Development Associate, you will work closely with our leadership team to shape and execute our expansion strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and securing prime locations for new store openings, negotiating lease agreements, and building relationships with landlords and real estate stakeholders. Over time, you will have the opportunity to grow with the company, and build and lead a team to scale our sourcing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• First 3 months: Collaborate with the leadership team to define and refine the company's market expansion strategy, identifying key areas for growth; begin on-the-ground location scouting to fill pipeline for potential locations
• Next 6 months: Build relationships with landlords and property owners, aggressively source new locations, close locations to build network; build biz dev team to expand capabilities
• First 2 years and beyond: Build a best-in-class team to analyze trade areas, gather data, build relationships with landlords, source locations, and close deals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred but not required)
• 2-4 years of experience in business development, real estate, or a related field
• Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build relationships with property owners and landlords
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally for site visits and negotiations
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for growth and expansion
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or coffee industry is a plus
