Business Development Analyst

Responsible in ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements, provides sales and marketing support and communicates with current and prospective suppliers and customers.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains business relationship with foreign suppliers and implements efficient supplier communication and feedback channels;

• Provides document management support which includes the receipt, inventory, tracking, storage, retrieval, and distribution and updating of all supplier documentations before end of validity;

Manages samples requests for imported materials, tracks all samples received and provides timely evaluation feedbacks to suppliers;

• Conducts research to develop new and alternative products and suppliers as per management direction;

Does research on market insights, industry trends and consumer demographics and communicates to concerned business units;

• Analyses import data to identify competitors and business opportunities (e.g., products, suppliers, customers) and presents recommendations to concerned business units;

Collects commodity-pricing data for future trends, and price monitoring;

• Liaises directly with relevant government agencies and ensures company licenses and permits are renewed before end of validity (e.g., FDA-LTO, BPI, SRA, CPRs);

Maintains current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents and obtains and distributed updated information regarding domestic or international laws, guidelines, or standards; AND

• Participates in reporting to concerned business units, including presentation and advice to address compliance challenges, recommend changes to company procedures in response to changes in regulations or standards.

• Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering (Chemical), Science & Technology, Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent;

• At least 1 year of work experience handle business development functions in a food company;

Highly skilled in using various MS Office applications; AND

• Permanent full time job.
