Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience working on an application development or application implementation project
  • Has attention to details
  • Knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle
  • Proficient use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong Analysis experience
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Other Qualifications (nice-to-have/advantage):

  • Has experience in Insurance industry (Life, Non-Life, Workers compensation, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the Policy Administration Application back end (database), front end (User Interface and Built-In Configuration Tools) and anything in between (interfaces and integrations)
  • Partner with customers to define business needs and elicit business requirements on complex implementation engagements
  • Read, analyze and interpret Regulatory Circulars/Documentation
  • Determine and document impact to the Policy Administration Product
  • Conduct detailed walkthrough of the Policy Administration Application Base Features and Functions with new customers and determine base functionalities that will be adopted and deviations that will need to be implemented
  • Produce artifacts including:
  • Business requirements
  • Functional Specifications
  • Forms
  • Work flow/Process flow diagrams
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix
  • Plan and lead the facilitation of requirements and solution discussions
  • Provide comprehensive research, analysis and recommendations for proposed solutions, critically considering multiple options before helping the team settle on a solution
  • Acquire product configuration skills and implement required non-programming configurations to meet business requirements
  • Actively participate in peer reviews/inspections for requirements, estimates, and specifications; provide feedback and guidance to others
  • Lead the development of supporting documentation and/or training
  • Provide staff training as subject matter expert
  • Provide support as needed to internal and external customers
  • Facilitate discussions and coordination of work efforts
  • Provide support for testing activities
