We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (BA/QA) Specialist with a strong background in the educational business industry preferably. This role requires expertise in gathering business requirements, designing relational database (RDB) structures, creating user interfaces, and managing functional designs. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with both operational and technical teams, design and execute test cases, and manage development processes to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand and document business processes and flows, with a focus on the educational business sector.
- Design relational databases (RDBs), user interface screens, and functional specifications based on business requirements.
- Create detailed documentation, including business process flows, RDB schemas, and screen designs.
- Provide clear and actionable reports, offering recommendations that exceed expectations without requiring additional guidance.
Quality Assurance:
- Develop comprehensive test cases derived from business, RDB, screen, and functional designs.
- Conduct hands-on testing based on defined test cases, providing technical feedback to the development team.
- Manage defect tracking, reporting, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Lead development teams by ensuring alignment with business requirements and providing direction throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with both operational and technical teams to ensure clarity on business requirements, design specifications, and testing outcomes.
- Provide technical advice to development teams and ensure seamless collaboration between business and technical stakeholders.
- Regularly update the operational team on project progress and offer clear, easy-to-understand explanations of technical processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Business Analyst Quality Assurance with previous experience as a programmer.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Specialist in the educational business industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping, relational database design (RDB), and functional specification creation.
- Experience in creating and managing test cases based on detailed design specifications.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations beyond basic expectations.
- Ability to manage and guide developers through requirement gathering, development, and testing phases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical feedback to developers during the testing phase.
- Familiarity with software development tools like Jira, Confluence, and testing platforms.
