As an Agile Business Analyst, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between business stakeholders and Agile development teams. You will elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of valuable solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and desired outcomes.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and meetings to elicit and clarify business requirements.
- Document requirements using user stories, use cases, process flows, and other appropriate techniques.
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and development teams to plan and prioritize backlog items, ensure a shared understanding of requirements, and provide clarification and addressing questions or issues.
- Assist with release planning and sprint planning, ensuring that requirements are well-defined and prioritized.
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather feedback, validate requirements, and resolve conflicts.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment. Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with development teams during sprint execution, perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support the resolution of defects and issues identified during testing and production phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, computer science, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Agile Business Analyst or similar role in an Agile development environment.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and related tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Proficient in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management techniques.
- Familiarity with user story development, acceptance criteria definition, and backlog management.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to break down complex business requirements into manageable pieces.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and experience working closely with development teams.
- Knowledge of investment, accounting, pension fund administration, CRM system, analytics is preferred.
- Business analysis certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) are desirable.
