How You Spend Your Eight Hours
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of customer accounts, contract entry into the billing system, and invoice creation
- Ensure billing meets revenue recognition and other accounting policies
- Audit customer accounts and review account setup to ensure complete and accurate billing information
- Complete payment processing daily
- Address AR inbox queries from customers (Zendesk tickets)
- Address chargebacks or reject questions from payment processors
- Prepare and review write-offs
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and application of credit amounts
- Process cash application and collection activities
- Address all billing-related Zendesk queries
- Audit customer accounts monthly and assist in other audits
- Look for process improvement opportunities
- Perform ad hoc tasks
What You Must Possess
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy or related fields
- Experience working in a remote setup
- Excellent analytical skills and a high numerical aptitude
- Experience using Zendesk (ticketing system)
- Proactive behavior and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Diligence and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills necessary for the job
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Stripe, and Ordway (an advantage)
- Ability to quickly learn the systems the finance team uses
