Role: Bookkeeper
Compensation: Competitive Basic Salary
Benefits: HMO plus 2 Free Dependents, P1,500 Rice Allowance, Night Differential (If applicable).
Work Schedule: 6AM - 3PM, Philippine Time
Work Setup: Work from Office (WFO)
Responsibilities/Job duties:
Cashflow
Daily reporting where required to clients.
Maintain cash flow to meet financial commitments if required.
Payroll
Oversee production of Payroll.
Calculation of Leave accruals.
Staff leave record and leave planner.
Authorise, prepare and review payroll.
Superannuation Payments.
Payroll Tax (if applicable).
Work Cover.
Personnel records maintenance.
Calculations for termination.
Communication with VECCI or similar bodies.
Legislation and Award rates.
General HR enquiries from staff in relation to entitlements, contracts, change of bank details, etc.
Creditors
Assisting supplier enquiries.
Reconciliations of Creditors.
Signing cheques / arranging payments for authorization.
Reporting to Management/Owners.
Debtors
Review outstanding debtors and supply reports to owners.
Receipt of funds.
Reconciliation of Debtors.
Assist in the collections process if required.
Budgets
Prepare budgets a required from MYOB Templates.
Report the performance of all business against forecasts, budgets and future plans.
Banking
Authorize and transmit files through various Banking facilities.
Transactions (Queries, Setup Payroll Batch processing, Administer Payments of suppliers, Communications with bank).
Reporting
Weekly (Cashflow and Management Reports).
Monthly (Month end full procedures (including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, reports as required by Management).
Payroll Tax
Superannuation
Quarterly
Preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statements.
Monthly if applicable to client as required.
Annual
Preparation and forwarding of information to the client or their advisors.
Preferred Competencies:
Advanced Payroll knowledge.
Understanding of industrial relations legislation & Awards.
Sound Computer Skills in MYOB, QuickBooks, Word for Windows, Excel, databases, and email for communication.
Solid understanding of financial statements, BAS returns & Bank reconciliations.
High degree of skill & accuracy in financial reporting.
Time Management & effective resource planning skills.
Clear and Precise Communication Skills.
A high standard of dress code and personal presentation at all times in line with that of a professional accounting practice as you will be working within such a practice.
