Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian accounting practices and be responsible for managing financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with Australian financial regulations. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
Prepare and submit BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other relevant tax documentation.
Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with Australian employment regulations.
Support the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Australian accounting practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks).
Strong knowledge of BAS, GST, and other Australian tax requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Work Schedule
Hours: 20 hours per week
Daily Schedule: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday (6AM-10AM or 7AM-11AM)
Shift: Guaranteed morning shift
Start Date: Immediate start available (July 1)
