We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and process claims for behavioral health services
Review and verify insurance information for accuracy and completeness- Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or rejected claims
Resolve billing discrepancies and appeal denied claims
- Monitor and track the status of claims to ensure timely payment
Generate and send patient statements- Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve issues related to billing and insurance coverage
Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and billing practices
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations
Maintain accurate and organized billing records- Prepare monthly billing reports and financial statements
Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Provide regular updates to management on billing activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a behavioral health setting
Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems- Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding practices
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Can work at night
- Comfortable open camera during shift hours
