Arrive punctually in a complete, clean and pressed uniform according to the guidelines set up in the procedure and hygiene standards
Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
Up sell drink specials and food items as directed by management
Learn the names of patrons and personally recognize our regulars
Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable)
Wash and sterilize glassware
Know the food and beverage menu, as well as the station and table number, sets up cocktail units and sink
Identify guests who cannot be served any alcohol (underage, too drunk)
Master the bar 'ABC XO technique
Master the serving of pre-established measures technique
Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons
Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
Clear and reset tables in bar area
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
Complete all side work duties and ensures area cleanliness
Know by heart and follow the company's standard operation procedures
Keep the Restaurant Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
At all times provides a favorable image of Rue Bourbon aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor
Have a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in bar operations
Carry out any task or job suggested by managers or those that are necessary to keep our standards of quality and those that are needed to keep our guests happy
