General Description:We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to fill the role of Bartender/Barista for an upcoming Yardstick branch. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about providing excellent service to our patrons, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for both bartending and coffee preparation. As a Bartender/Barista, you will be responsible for ensuring a memorable experience for our customers through expertly crafted beverages and exceptional customer service
Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and coffee-based beverages according to the standard Yardstick recipes and customer preferences.
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages served.
Maintain a clean and organized beverage preparation area, including bar tools, equipment, and ingredients.
Customer Service:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints promptly.
Provide recommendations and information about beverages and menu items as needed.
Bar Operations:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies.
Replenish stock as needed and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
Adhereto all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down counters, cleaning glassware, and disposing of waste properly.
Barista Duties:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso-based and filter coffee beverages.
Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines with precision and attention to detail.
Steam milk and foam for espresso-based beverages according to established standards.
Ensure the freshness and quality of coffee beans and other ingredients used in beverage preparation.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate orders and deliver exceptional service.
Assist with training and mentoring new bartenders and baristas as needed
Proven experience as a bartender and/or barista in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including cocktail mixing and espresso preparation.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Must be of legal drinking age and comply with all relevant alcohol service regulations.
