Job Description for a Hotel Waiter:The Hotel Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests in the hotel restaurant. The waiter should have a good understanding of the menu offerings, provide recommendations to guests, take orders accurately, and ensure that guests needs are met during their dining experience. The waiter is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and handling cash and credit card payments.
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and escort them to their tables.
- Provide guests with menus and answer any questions they may have about menu items and specials.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and in a timely manner.- Ensure that all guests needs are met during their dining experience, including refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and providing additional condiments or utensils as needed.
Upsell and promote specials and additional items to increase sales and revenue.
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including tables, chairs, and service areas.- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling of food and adherence to sanitation protocols.
Work with other restaurant staff to ensure efficient and effective service.
- Expected Output: The Hotel Waiter is expected to:
