Back End Developer

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database technologies and data processing, with the ability to build and maintain robust backend systems that power our BI solutions. This role requires deep knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases, with a particular focus on Microsoft Fabric implementation.

The Opportunity

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems supporting our BI infrastructure
• Build and optimize database queries and data pipelines for maximum efficiency
• Implement and maintain data integration solutions using Microsoft Fabric
• Collaborate with data analysts and frontend developers to deliver comprehensive BI solutions
• Ensure data security and compliance across all backend systems
• Develop and maintain API endpoints for data access and manipulation
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in backend development with focus on data systems
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database management systems
• Proven experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database architectures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric preferred
• Experience with API development and RESTful services
• Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices
• Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
