General Job Description:As a
Lead Generation Specialist / Appointment Setter targeting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Australia, your primary responsibility is to identify and qualify potential leads within this market segment. Your role is instrumental in generating high-quality leads and securing appointments with key decision-makers, typically Managers or Directors, within these organisations.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential SMEs within the target market.
- Utilise various channels including phone calls, emails, and social media to initiate contact with prospects.
Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their needs, challenges, and pain points.- Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with our target customer profile.
Clearly articulate the value proposition of our services and effectively communicate this to prospects.
- Schedule appointments for the Business Development team with qualified leads and ensure accurate record-keeping of all interactions.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation efforts, such as conversion rates, lead quality, and lead-to-opportunity ratios.- Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to optimise lead generation strategies and achieve targets.
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
At least 3 years of proven experience in lead generation, appointment setting, or sales development, preferably in a B2B environment targeting SMEs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with prospects.- Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Monday.com, Lusha, Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.
Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms for prospecting purposes.- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and deadlines.
Knowledge of the Australian SME market and its dynamics is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
