Job Description

General Job Description:

As a Lead Generation Specialist / Appointment Setter targeting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Australia, your primary responsibility is to identify and qualify potential leads within this market segment. Your role is instrumental in generating high-quality leads and securing appointments with key decision-makers, typically Managers or Directors, within these organisations.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential SMEs within the target market.
  • Utilise various channels including phone calls, emails, and social media to initiate contact with prospects.
Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their needs, challenges, and pain points.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with our target customer profile.
Clearly articulate the value proposition of our services and effectively communicate this to prospects.
  • Schedule appointments for the Business Development team with qualified leads and ensure accurate record-keeping of all interactions.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation efforts, such as conversion rates, lead quality, and lead-to-opportunity ratios.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to optimise lead generation strategies and achieve targets.
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Qualifications:
At least 3 years of proven experience in lead generation, appointment setting, or sales development, preferably in a B2B environment targeting SMEs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with prospects.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Monday.com, Lusha, Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.
Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms for prospecting purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and deadlines.
Knowledge of the Australian SME market and its dynamics is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
