In this position, you will be assigned to our client, who adopts a modern approach to Managed Services. The company combines ITIL, SRE, and DevOps at the core of its cloud-native offering (no on-premises technologies are supported). In addition to supporting clients, they take a proactive approach to automate, enhance, and develop customer platforms to reduce toil and increase reliability. Quality and Automation are central to their operations. By merging DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, they combine project work and the support environment forming the essence of their Cloud-Native Managed Services. These services cater to a diverse range of customers, including those in fintech, retail, agribusiness, legal, government, and various other industries.
Your Responsibilities
Providing Level 2 and 3 support to our customers
Providing on call/after-hours support for Major Incidents on a rotating roster (on average, once every 4-7 weeks)
Providing enhancement services to our customers Azure platform
Applying SRE principals to monitor and measure what's important
Automating customer platforms for reliability at scale
Reducing toil via initiatives that include automation, self-service, self-healing, Autoscaling, and more
Proactively seeking platform and infrastructure improvement opportunities for our customers
Configuring and tuning Monitoring and Event Management
Configuring CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub
Configuring IaC and taking a code first approach when updating infrastructure for our customers
Contributing to client's engineering practices, standards, and frameworks and working closely with the Tech Leads and Tech Community
Your Background
Mid-senior level experience with Azure Infrastructure and Platform services
Experience with configuring infrastructure with Bicep
Experience with configuring CI/C pipelines on Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, following best practices
Passionate about automation and solving complex technical issues
Understand SRE practices for running and building reliable, scalable services
Experience with building IaC and/or CI/CD pipelines
Experience with configuring and tuning monitoring and event management stacks
Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
Experience in scripting in one or more languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is advantageous
