- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in software testing or development.
- Strong proficiency in JAVA or JavaScript or a related language (e.g., TypeScript, Python) for test automation.
- Solid experience with Web and API Test Automation
- Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and their impact on non-functional testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to drive and deliver testing initiatives within schedule and quality requirements.
- Continuous learning mindset and the willingness to explore new technologies and tools in the field of software testing.
Desirable Skills / Good To Haves:
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their implications for non-functional testing.
- Extensive experience in non-functional testing, particularly performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
- Experience with Security Testing
- Experience in Mobile Test Automation
Job Description:
Daily Routine / Role Overview
- Attends Automation sprint sessions to align with overall project requirements and direction
- Lead and manage a team of SDETs, providing technical guidance and support in test automation and non-functional testing.
- Develop and implement test automation frameworks, strategies, and best practices.
- Work closely with the QA Leads and QA Chapter Leads to ensure Test Automation Coverage.
- Work closely with Tribes to provide feedback on code quality and testability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize testing efforts and provide timely resolution of identified issues.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in non-functional testing and automation, providing guidance and support to the testing team and the broader organization.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and risks to project stakeholders and management.
Expectation for the first 6 months
- Familiarize with the squad / product supported, AGILE practices and the standardized testing processes both manual and automation.
- Converted manual tests cases to automation scripts both for Front-End and Back-End
- Participated in test automation code reviews
- Reviewed Test Automation Guidelines and Frameworks
