Role: Automation Software QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for software applications using industry-standard automation frameworks and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to understand software requirements and ensure test coverage.- Identify, prioritize, and document test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in test planning, test strategy, and test estimation activities.
Continuously enhance and maintain the automation test framework and test environment.- Identify opportunities for test automation and advocate for automation best practices within the team.
Collaborate with manual testers to ensure a comprehensive testing approach.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed bug reports with clear steps to reproduce.
Work closely with developers to provide feedback on testability, design, and architecture to improve software quality.- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new tools, and best practices related to test automation.
Contribute to the overall improvement of the QA process and participate in process enhancement initiatives.
- Solid experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.- Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus
