JOB SUMMARY:Remove & Re-install body panels and accessories of damaged vehicles to make way for body repairs and re-install to OEM safety standards for on-road vehicles. Work with Tinsmith to diagnose and plan the repair, determine if the initial estimate is complete, and specify additional parts if needed as part of the estimating team. Work with a team with Job Controller and Tinsmith.
- Conceptualise and write a repair plan and diagnosis with the body shop team to reduce repair area, improve quality and speed, and re-check documents for complete repair made per RO.
Know standard and company completion times to ensure achieving daily targets of the teams.
- Knowledge to read OEM repair manuals and bulletins and use proper tools to ensure proper and efficient repair.
Ability to learn light tinsmith and dentless/puller body repair tools..- Understanding of use and types of equipment and tools for efficient body shop operations and possible fabrication of panels if needed.
Removal and installation of panels and accessories.
- Writes professional and accurate estimates. Submits accurate and well-documented supplements for repairs not listed on the original estimate.
Complete QC process and sheet for every vehicle as applicable.- Other duties as assigned, meetings and training
- QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- High school Graduate (min) or technical school Grade average 80%+
5 years installer or mechanic experience with use of various body repair equipment and tools.- Formal training by Tesda, vocational school or dealership.
Overtime work if required.
- Can drive car. Driving license optional
Can read and understand training material and presentation, make and read repair plan, Work with a team, train others, proven leader
