Role Purpose
An experienced Auto Mechanic Inspector specialized in buses to oversee the inspection and maintenance activities of mechanical systems within Neom & Service Provider bus fleet. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical expertise in diagnosing, evaluating, and ensuring the mechanical integrity of buses, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of bus mechanical components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems, to assess their condition, functionality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and implement inspection procedures, checklists, and protocols to ensure comprehensive assessments of mechanical systems in buses.
- Analyze inspection reports to identify trends, potential issues, or areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them effectively.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule necessary repairs or maintenance based on inspection findings, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in bus mechanical systems to ensure compliance and suggest improvements.
- Perform all other related duties as requested by Transportation, Logistics & Retail Manager
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess working knowledge of Transport quality assurance.
- Proven experience (5 years) as an auto mechanic with a focus on buses or heavy vehicles, with additional experience in inspection or quality assurance, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of bus mechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics related to bus mechanical systems.
- Detailed oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows professionalism, sensitivity, tact, and efficiency.
- Must be confident in using computers, tablets, and software applications, including Microsoft Office and other related systems.

Qualifications:
- Certification or relevant qualifications in automotive mechanics or a related field.
- Diploma graduate 3 years (Mechanical Engineering) or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineer
