Some of the things we expect you to do are to:
- Manage Daily Bookkeeping: Lead daily bookkeeping activities, ensuring accurate tracking of all financial transactions, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconciliations & Reporting: Review and reconcile bank and credit card transactions. Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- BAS Preparation & Lodgement: Prepare, review, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) for multiple clients, keeping the ATO Integrated Clearing Account updated.
- Budget Support: Assist with budgeting and forecasting to guide company decision-making and ensure adherence to financial policies.
- Financial Integrity: Resolve accounting discrepancies, supervise junior staff, and implement systems to enhance accuracy.
- Compliance & Taxation: Maintain compliance with tax regulations and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity.
We would need you to be or have the following:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or anything similar.
- 1-2 years experience in Bookkeeping for Australian clients.
- Experience in Accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QB, etc.) is a plus, but not required.
