Shift hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM (AEST) / 7:00AM - 4:00PM (Philippines)

About The Company:

This is for an Australian-based Accounting firm thatspecialises in servicing small to medium businesses, with our core clients being business owners, self managed superannuation funds and investors.

About The Role:

They are looking for a Tax Accountant who will help them with the below duties:

Australian Public/Chartered Accounting:

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity statements, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns, Payroll Tax Returns and other regulatory returns, reports and associated outputs with respect to clients;
• Preparation of budgets, tax-planning forecasts and estimates, cash-flow statements and forecasts and management reports with respect to clients;
• Provision of accounting, bookkeeping, taxation and research support for accounting and taxation compliance matters;
• Maintain adequate working papers, reconciliations, file notes, records, meeting notes, data files, file management and records in accordance with the Company's requirements for quality control and audit trail purposes;
• Record the Team member's time expended on the Team member's Duties in the Company's time cost recording system (time sheets) in six (6) minute increments to equate to a minimum of 75 units per weekday which must be posted and completed on a daily basis;
• Any reasonable request by the Company.

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree; CA or CPA full membership (preferred)
• Experience in an Australian Public Practice Firm with exposure and experience in the areas outlined in duties.
• Working knowledge and experience in Handisoft (Handiledger, HandiTax and Time&Billing);
• Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft office suiteWorking knowledge and experience in Xero.
