The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks to help deliver Business Services work requirements to the client. The core focus is to provide high quality work in a timely manner to a broad portfolio of clients.
Prepare income tax returns, financial statements and Activity Statements (BAS/IAS) for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds (SMSF)
- Attend to business related matters for your clients e.g., fringe benefits tax, tax planning, interim work, assessment notices etc
Providing taxation and financial advice to companies, individuals, partnerships and SMSFs- Determine Small business CGT concessions, FBT, Div. 7a and GST reconciliations and calculations
Summarise and prepare Taxable Payments Annual Reports (TPAR)
- Responsible for Bookkeeping, Payroll, and reconciliation of accounts and fixed assets
Other workpapers and reports that the management/clients or other stakeholders require- Mentor and oversee junior, intermediate accountants and colleagues
Using software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian
- Maintaining client relationships with attendance at meetings as required and being the key contact for a portfolio of clients
The role will suit an experienced accountant who is looking for the next step in their Australian accounting professional career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
- At least three (3) years of experience as an offshore accountant with an Australian accounting firm
Experience in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian tax compliance software
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian professional staff and clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Effective task and time management skills, awareness of job budgets and productivity targets
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
Self-starter with accountability for both personal and professional development
