CLIENT BACKGROUND

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording daily transactions.
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS on a quarterly basis
- Month-end work which includes closing the financial books at the end of each month, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports including the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Progress to preparing tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
- Perform reconciliations for each balance sheet account to ensure that the balances reported in the general ledger are accurate and complete.
- Preparing client-specific financial reports as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting or any related field
- At least 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience with a high preference on Australian public accounting background
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and Quickbooks is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage and build strong relationships with clients
- Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Experience with or interest in learning business and individual taxes is highly desirable
