DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording daily transactions.
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS on a quarterly basis
  • Month-end work which includes closing the financial books at the end of each month, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports including the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Progress to preparing tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
  • Perform reconciliations for each balance sheet account to ensure that the balances reported in the general ledger are accurate and complete.
  • Preparing client-specific financial reports as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting or any related field
  • At least 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience with a high preference on Australian public accounting background
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and Quickbooks is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage and build strong relationships with clients
  • Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Experience with or interest in learning business and individual taxes is highly desirable

  • Work Environment: with secluded workstation to ensure a private and distraction free space
