Responsibilities:
- Performs audit of client financial statements under supervision of managers on the team
- Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
- Research and develop knowledge of current audit legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review, research and analyze financial statement issues utilizing various electronic sources and software
- Collect, assimilate, and analyze client data and use standard processes and tools to complete assigned project work
- Assist in identifying technical issues in various projects and share suggestions with senior personnel to mitigate the same
- Recommend on ways to streamline operations and increase client satisfaction
- Provide support on complex projects to senior personnel in the audit team
- Maintain the quality of audit related data by regularly monitoring the database and following up with relevant internal stakeholders
- Assist in developing content for training and provide on-the job training to new employees
- Train, and mentor interns on audit projects and provide performance feedback to staff as needed
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
- CPA license preferred
- 4-6 years of functional experience in a relevant role
- Core Assurance/ EBP experience preferred
- Knowledge of advanced MS Excel & other tools and platforms
- Knowledge of US GAAP and US GAAS
- Adept understanding of the standards of the audit process
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Agile learner and team player
