Drive completeness of financial information and tasks according to the defined areas of responsibilities, such as :
- Perform agreed upon day-to-day accounting operations (i.e. preparation of manual journal entries , cash receipts/activity postings, A/P and A/R clearing applications, preparation month-end balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and other report reconciliations).
- Performs period and annual close activities in the financial ERP, and prepares designated month-end financial reports for review of associate manager.
- Coordinate with other workstream departments of process completions, execution and accuracy from time to time propose process improvements, collaborate ways of working strategies, and coordinate risk and implications on certain actions.
- Help department prepare audit, SOX and other company level control requirements.
- Assess and align regularly service delivery business areas, according to the defined KPIs, then be able to easily commit to improvement and changes.
- Participate in new process transitions, attend sessions for process owners of in-country partners.
- Able to confidently speak up on risk areas, opportunities, and compliance concerns. Has strong respect for management, and appropriately escalate risks and concerns.
What you bring to the role:
- Strong technical skills in utilizing spreadsheet (MS Excel), including strong understanding on formula and technical functions
- General proficiency with various ERP and Finance tools, systems, and procedures
- Able to strongly articulate financial information and results to upper management, country partners and different stake holders.
- General knowledge in applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to compile financial information, identify, evaluate, process, and resolve issues related to transactions processed by the accounting team
- Works with very minimal supervision and a highly motivated individual
- Exercise sound accounting judgement and respond independently to accounting internal and external audits.
- Reviews and conducts thorough investigation to determine accuracy and validity of financial records. Comfortable to escalate as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Finance professional
- Finance, Business Ad, Accountancy or similar courses
- General Ledger, General Accounting, Audit background
- Hybrid set up (10-12 days per month onsite)
- Role is for morning/mid shift
