Provides legal opinion concerning labor matters that may be subject of litigation, whether civil, criminal, administrative or labor in nature, with respect to the Conglomerate or its BUs concerns.
Prepares periodic reports for submission to the General Counsel. Including submission of documentation as may be necessary to and in line with the fulfillment of the Groups guidelines, strategic initiatives, procedures and policies.
Comply with the Group's guidelines (including securing feedback from BUs/customers/stakeholders), procedures and policies on docket and file management, use and implementation of the Digital Legal Referral Portal, status reports, meetings, work attendance and other matters that may be the subject of the supervisor or General Counsel's instructions.
Handles administrative proceedings, adjudication, legal processes, litigation, mediation, arbitration or any other form of adversarial proceedings, by drafting correspondences, emails, notices and other formal documents of the Conglomerate or its BUs, or coordinates with external counsel as the case may be, which may involve the following: Administrative proceedings against employees, labor assessments, findings, complaints and cases, including appellate proceedings, Attendance in NCMB or NLRC proceedings, including SEnA, mediation and arbitration, Attendance in assistance in DOLE audits, inspections and other matters, Assisting in union matters, CBA negotiations, employee-related contract reviews, etc.
Assists in other matters, and any other concerns of the Conglomerate or the BUs, or performs any other special projects and/or administrative matters implemented by the Group including, but not limited to:
Attendance in lectures and/or seminars, upon instructions and under the supervision of immediate supervisor or the General Counsel;
Participation in the Legal Council or conferences held with SBUs and CCUs for sharing of best practices and networks;
Support and actively participate in any assignment to SBUs, including performance of necessary activities thereto, in accordance with the directives of the General Counsel;
Conduct lectures and/or seminars as may be needed or requested by the Conglomerate and/or BUs;
Study applicable rules and regulations aimed at developing specializations necessary to support the various industries and operations of the Conglomerate or its BUs.
Coordinate with other department and groups in GCG, the Conglomerate and various BUs, with a view to proactively managing and addressing legal and regulatory risks as a Group.
Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Head or the General Counsel.
