The goal of the Sigma Delta Team within the Industrial Business Group is to bring forward highly innovative, next generation technology that redefines the market's understanding of Sigma Delta Core ADCs and the depth of signal chain integration and feature depth that can be achieved.
To enable us to achieve our ambitious objectives, the Sigma Delta team is seeking a Junior Applications Engineer who primarily work on the integration and support of specific products and technology. As they grow in experience, and over time will own some of the sub-portfolios of SDC and will have continuous involvement with products and solutions from conceptualizing, executing new product developments, along with product introduction and shortening the time of getting to the growth phase through technical enabling tools, collateral and services.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for some of the sub-portfolios within the ICN group and under the guidance of more senior staff will take ownership of collateral generation and drive customer engagement activities and technical support.
- Create successful new product collateral (i.e., evaluation hardware, software, tools, application notes, technical publications, product datasheets etc.) that compliments the multi-disciplinary team (Marketing, Design, Test & Evaluation, Field Applications/Market Segment), to deliver the highest level of differentiated solutions to the toughest customer problems.
- Implement first class Field & customer support. Understand the customer needs. Provide innovative, practical and timely solutions to customer issues. The candidate will need to work with ADI's Field staff in different geographies and in many cases directly with the customer to solve these issues and communicate the solutions.
- Under the guidance of more senior staff will conduct training to Field Applications Engineers and select customers
- Contribute to customer engagement activities by the development of product concepts, product definition, & sensor algorithmic elements through to market release.
- Drive New Product adoption through multiple channels and track progress against pre-determined goals
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- A Master's/bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role will involve close interaction with customers and the wider Field, Sales, design and measurement teams across the globe.
- A passion for learning new ideas and concepts and able to contribute the same
- An understanding of Analog Front Ends that includes signal conditioning and interfacing with Digital blocks would be very helpful.
- Have good imagination and be able to anticipate & solve problems, quantify risk, and be proactive in mitigation would be very beneficial.
- The ability to synthesize inputs from many diverse sources and form insights and clearly articulate these.
- Able to work and effectively collaborate with a cross functional, and global team
This role is ideal for a technical graduate that is wanting to explore a more business-oriented role and will provide the support and guidance to develop these skill sets over time. You will be reporting into a global team, and international travel will be expected. You will be customer facing and travel to customers over time. Local mentoring and management will be in place and there will be training and support from more senior staff as required.
