IC Layout Designers create analog block layouts in collaboration with schematic designers and section or lead layout engineers. They will go through a comprehensive block layout training program to gain hands-on IC layout engineering experience. Upon completion, their main focus is meeting project schedules, design specifications, and quality requirements set by project stakeholders. They may also contribute to layout team development initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- Strong interest in analog block layout design.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in semiconductor device physics, cross-section and construction
Additional Requirements
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written
- Able to work and effectively collaborate with a cross-functional and global team
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work under mentorship.
- Familiarity with layout tool editors is an advantage.
Education and Experience
- BS Electronics or Computer Engineering
- Thesis related to design and layout is an advantage
- Taken Layout Engineering Internship is an advantage
