Associate Business Analyst Manager - NDC
Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable in Navitaire NDC system. Provide functional expertise after being trained and immersed in NDC work.
- Work with PO, PM, scrum team to prioritize work of scrum teams taking into account company priorities.
- Refine the product backlog so that maximum product value is derived from integrated increment created by the scrum teams.
- Interface directly with clients to understand and document specific business problems and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to get inputs and translate it to work items for the scrum team.
- Incorporate client feedback into sprints and work with NDC business analysts to come up with user stories.
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts and initiatives by working with scrum team.
- Assist with the review, creation and update of published customer documentation.
- Present functional demonstrations of new and existing software features.
- Work closely with Navitaire Development, Quality Assurance, and Support teams.
- Support sales pursuits involving existing and prospective customers.
- Provide guidance and support existing and new client implementations.
- As applicable, manage a team of business analysts providing team direction, guidance, and growth
- Other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Prior experience (at least 5 yrs) in any of the following: Business/System Analysis, Requirements Gathering/Analysis, Software Quality Assurance, Software Development OR
- Prior experience in travel Industry systems and applications such as:
- Airline reservations systems
- Airline scheduling systems
- E-commerce and internet platforms
- Global distribution systems
- Experience with scrum/agile methodology
- Experience in leading teams
- Proven ability to document and solve problems and issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Proven discipline to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Flexible work schedule; willing to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of travel industry groups, practices and/or standards (IATA)
- Common understanding of APIs
- Prior experience with Navitaire's New Skies reservation system
