The Associate Accountant is responsible for the effective and efficient recording of all accounting transactions for the Fly Ace Group of Companies. The responsibility that goes with this position will cover regular financial statements, report generation and identification of reportable items in the balance sheet as well as compliance with fiduciary/statutory reportorial requirements.
Key job result areas include on-time periodic closing of books including reports and reconciliations, ensure books of accounts integrity and on-time filing of government remittances and reportorial requirements.
I. PLANNING :
Recommends improvement on operational processes such as:
maintenance of subsidiary ledgers fixed asset management
control measures
II. DOING/EXECUTION:- On-time periodic closing of books including reports and reconciliations.
Ensure books of accounts integrity (management of balance sheet reportable items)
- Monthly balance sheet account reconciliation (bank reconciliation, prepaid schedule, fixed asset lapsing, etc.)
Semi-annual fixed asset count- On-time filing of government remittances and reportorial requirements (tax & statutory requirements)
Assist in internal and external audit requirements.
- Filing of permanent files.
Other tasks that may be assigned by the finance department.
III. CHECKING/MONITORING:- Performs other functions as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

III. EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:- BS Accountancy (Certified Public Accountant)
IV. EXPERIENCE:- At least 1-2 years experience in general accounting or audit
Preferably with experience in shared services, SAP, QuickBooks and basic taxation
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements
