The assistant accountant will be involved in a mix of financial accounting and management accounting duties. You will ensure the accurate and timely recording of general ledger (GL) data, accounts payable (AP) processing and month end reporting. You will have the opportunity to participate in a number of exciting projects within a small and supportive team environment, led by finance leaders who are passionate about training and mentoring.

Accounts payable and expense processing
End of month (EOM) journals and reporting- Balance sheet reconciliations
Intercompany reconciliations
Trust accounting tasks Ad hoc projects
Degree qualified - accounting or business degree
- With aspirations to complete or have started your CA or CPA
Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant; basic accounting standard knowledge- Self-motivated and ability to meet tight deadlines
Great attention to detail and the ability to be proactive
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Prior experience with Xero- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience from insurance industry highly regarded
