Job Summary: The Asset Management and Control Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of an organization's assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal. This role ensures that all assets are properly tracked, recorded, and utilized in accordance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all company assets, including equipment, machinery, and technology.- Use asset management tracker asset location, status, and condition.
Conduct regular physical audits to verify the existence and condition of assets
- Asset Acquisition and Disposal:
Manage the process for acquiring new assets, including requisition, procurement, and receipt.
- Coordinate the disposal of obsolete or surplus assets in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards related to asset management.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for asset transactions, including acquisition, transfer, and disposal.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs:
Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs to ensure company vehicles are in good working condition.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
Process and issue registration and insurance
Prepare regular reports on asset status, utilization, and performance for management review.- Analyze asset data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
Provide training to staff on asset management procedures and best practices.- Offer support and guidance to team members regarding asset-related issues.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers related to asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management or a related field.
Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite (excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
