JOB SCOPEThe main responsibility of the Area Sales and Development Manager is to generate revenue for the company and grow the company's business.
Responsible for developing sales programs that maximize sales from assigned accounts and targeted accounts, overseeing and conducting market research to develop and implement sales initiatives, developing sales strategies & enhancing product knowledge
- Responsible for building & and leading a team of salespeople to help drive revenue. Area Sales and development Managers must motivate their team to generate leads, build client relationships, set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and meet customer needs.
Meeting or exceeding targeted sales quotas and productivity standards for his assigned territory;
- Developing and implementing sales, marketing strategies, and plans to achieve sales and profit goals;
- Providing consistent and motivated leadership and direction to sales development associates;
- Ensuring that sales staff is appropriately trained and competent to perform their job duties;
- Collecting customer feedback and market research of assigned territory for management update, review, and reference;
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulations of assigned sales development associates in his territory;
- Providing exceptional customer service to all customers daily AR Management of the region.
Responsible for helping grow the company business by finding and researching new leads, identifying potential markets and customers for company products, and establishing relationships with best-fit potential customers in assigned territories/regions.
Identifying market opportunities and challenges through meetings, networking, and other channels of the region;
- Preparing Financial projections and sales targets;
- Producing reports for management (for example Monthly Area Business reviews and performance, P&L of the territory, and Market Competitive Reports);
- Attending events such as exhibits, trade fairs, and conferences;
- Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships;
- Preparing sales presentations and spearheading discussion and sales presentations for potential clients/dealers;
- Liaising with colleagues from finance, logistics, and marketing to develop a holistic approach to sales and marketing strategies of the region.
