Position Summary
Supervises and leads the day-today activities of staff; both onsite and telecommuters, Hires, trains, schedules, monitors staff including the performance evaluation process. Effectively maintains a work environment which stimulates and motivates the growth of subordinates. Interacts with internal and external resources at multiple levels.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversees the day-to-day activities of subordinates including, but not limited to, monitoring daily production, scheduling, time and attendance, appropriate coverage, and equipment functioning and availabilities, etc.
- Reviews and responds to email and phone messages from the facility, staff, and management. Completes accounts referred to supervisory unit by staff or management on a daily basis. Maintains proficiency in all system platforms.
- Performs quality review of staff work efforts at the account level.
- Responsible for monitoring Cash and Aging, and working with facilities to resolve issues.
- Facilitate the identification of issues and solutions by team members related to delay in receipt of account payment, escalates any unresolved issues to the AR Collections Manager.
- Responsible for daily adjustment approvals. Assist staff in resolution of claims
- Monitor to ensure accounts are properly adjudicated and report variances to appropriate parties. Communicate all payor trends and issues to appropriate parties, including payors as necessary. Maintain appropriate desk inventories and ensure that no work-list backlog occurs
- Train, develop, motivate and assist subordinates in reaching new levels of skills, knowledge and attitude. Effectively maintain a work environment which stimulates and motivates the morale, engagement and growth of subordinates. Identify performance deficiencies and opportunities and implement action plans as needed.
- Effectively communicate and interact with subordinates, management and clients. Conduct, attend and participate in meetings, conference calls and training sessions, including Management Meetings, Team Meetings, as well as one-on-one monthly meetings with subordinates to provide consistent performance feedback. Complete the mid-year and year end Performance Management review.
