Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or Real Estate Management
Experience: Experience in Appraisal works
Eligibility Required: Registered Real Estate Appraiser is an advantage but not required
- Duties and Responsibilities
a. Inspect Properties
- Appraisers make site visits to inspect, interview their clients, and
examine all variables that might impact what a property is worth, such
as the location and future developments in the area.
b. Photograph interior and exterior
- Part of the examination and assessment of a property, appraisers take
photographs of the interior and exterior of the building, paying
particular attention to any key characteristic that may affect the value
of the property.
_c. Research the local property market
- Analyzing comparable nearby properties to help make an estimate of
the value of the client's property
d. Maintain data on property values
- Verify legal descriptions of real estate properties in public records and
maintain value data from neighboring properties to gauge how a new
property may compare to others in the market.
e. Prepare written reports
- Appraisers prepare reports that explain the assessment results and the
decisions made
