Job Description:

As an Appraisal Reviewer, you will ensure residential appraisals meet agency guidelines for accuracy, consistency, and relevance. You'll analyze submissions, maintain high productivity in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to upholding the standards of mortgage lending documentation and valuation practices.

Job Overview

• Conduct Quality Control (QC) reviews of residential appraisals to ensure accuracy, relevance, and data consistency.
  
• Demonstrate attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of agency guidelines.
  
• Utilize knowledge of various appraisal forms to ensure compliance and precision.
  
• Maintain a high production level while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Confirm receipt of Submission Summary Reports (SSRs) and verify their accuracy.
  
• Use a review checklist to analyze appraisals and confirm compliance with agency guidelines.
  
• Perform data entry in the Loan Origination System (LOS), updating property value and type as required.
  
• Add conditions to appraisals and, if necessary, request corrections from AMC.
  
• Respond to all correspondence and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Working knowledge of mortgage lending documentation and terminology.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and windows-based computer programs.
  
• Basic understanding of standard office equipment.
  

Credentials and Experience Required:

• Understanding of factors influencing residential property values.
  
• Ability to read and interpret valuation documents like comp sheets and pricing analyses.
  
• Two or more years of experience as a residential data collector or review appraiser.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent.
  

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to:

• Sit for extended periods.
  
• Move about the office (standing and walking).
  
• Reach with arms and grasp with hands.
  
• Perform tasks using a computer and peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitor).
  
• Hear, talk, read, and write effectively.
  

Occasionally required to:

• Lift up to 25 pounds.
  

Vision requirements include:

• Close vision for computer monitors and paperwork.
