Job Description

Job Title: Application Support Specialist

  • Overview:

We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and expertise for various applications and software systems within the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of applications, troubleshooting issues, and assisting end-users with resolving problems. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.

  • Responsibilities:

Perform analysis of the functionality of software applications and suggest significant improvements.

Offer software application support with minimal supervision.

Consult skillfully with the team of software developers, clients, and internal users to improve application performance.

Ensure very effective back-end and front-end functionality of all applications.

Establishing the main causes of application errors while escalating serious concerns to the Senior engineer.

Efficiently managing patches of applications across various environments only to ensure synchronized and continued functionality.

Documenting processes proficiently and continuously monitoring the application performance metrics.

Keep an updated record of configuration changes while scheduling the updates of applications.

Provide front-end support to all colleagues and clients of other departments.

Efficiently manage coordination with application providers whenever and wherever required.

  • Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in an application support role, preferably in a similar industry.

- Strong knowledge of software applications, operating systems, and database management.

- Familiarity with common scripting languages and programming languages.

- Experience with issue tracking and ticketing systems.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and methodologies is a plus.

- Availability to work outside regular hours for scheduled maintenance or emergencies.

  • Preferred Technical skills:

Understand Structured Query Language (SQL) databases.

Knowledgeable in programming languages specific to PHP and Java.

Knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Up-to-date application software coding and script knowledge.

Understand telecommunication systems like Viber and other software.

Knowledge of standard IT hardware, network, and cloud.

Ability to learn and understand IT management software such as helpdesk ticketing system.

Ability to diagnose and solve application issues.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php25,
