Qualifications

Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve working with Kubernetes and providing dynamic support to ensure smooth functioning of the systems. Roles & Responsibilities: - Work in partnership with application and infrastructure teams, collaborating with them on the implementation and execution of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Containers to fulfill business objectives. - Collaborate with internal technical SMEs and internal stake holders as required to help fulfill client contractual obligations. - Assist with technical issues, escalations, and resolution - Expected to keep up to date with changes in the AKS service specifically as well as maintain general awareness of significant industry changes surrounding both Azure and container technology in general. - Expected to pursue company-sponsored technical certifications related to the job role - Deliver at a consistently high standard - Assist Avanade in meeting client agreed upon Service Level Agreements - Provide technical support for critical business systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues. - Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures. - Participate in incident management and problem management processes to ensure timely resolution of issues. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and procedures. Professional & Technical Skills: - Familiarity with AKS architectural concepts: clusters, namespaces, nodes, pods, services, autoscaling, ingress policies. - Familiarity with the kubectl command-line language. - Familiarity with Docker - Familiarity with Azure Container Registry and Azure Container Instances. - Required Skill: Expertise in Kubernetes. - Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies. - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. - Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash. - Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Additional Information: - Minimum 3+ years relevant cloud systems engineering and/or infrastructure management experience in Azure. - Minimum 1+ year(s) experience with AKS or equivalent experience in Kubernetes (K8S). - The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in Kubernetes. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions. - This position is based in Manila.
