Application Support Engineer

The Work:
- As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support and resolving issues within critical business systems. Your typical day will involve monitoring infrastructure, identifying and solving problems, and ensuring smooth operations of the systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Monitor infrastructure and identify any issues or anomalies.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system problems and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations of critical business systems.
- Document and maintain system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
Here's What You'll Need:
- (SAMPLE): Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields.
- Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Proficiency in Infrastructure Monitoring.
- Additional Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Japanese.
- Strong understanding of system monitoring tools and techniques.
- Experience in analyzing system logs and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of incident management and problem resolution processes.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Infrastructure Monitoring.
- This position is based at our Cebu office.

Qualifications:
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Required Skill: Expertise in Linux.
- Strong understanding of system administration and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios or Zabbix.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in Linux.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful technical solutions.
