About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Analyst Accounts Payable (SME) to join our team in an exciting opportunity at Orica. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for specific processes, teams, or countries, leading finance project activities and process improvement initiatives. You'll also be responsible in driving process improvement initiatives to integrate new processes effectively. You'll also oversee staff quality reviews and provide first-level support in resolving finance project issues.

What you will be doing
People Leadership
Working with Finance Projects and Accounts Payable Leads in all AP related activities, identifying/implementing process training within AP Workstream. Use the programs/activities identified approved by GBS Finance in conducting trainings.
Checking and reporting that all employees are properly trained, with proposed action on areas for improvement.
Implementation of and Compliance on GBS strategies, policies, rules and regulations.
Process Leadership
Act as rapid response for Accounts Payable workstream for resourcing/reliever requirements.
Support supervisor with managing specific process, ensure alignment, reporting and communication including appropriate workload allocation, execution of appropriate backup systems, monitoring of projects.
Drive, cooperate, manage and support process improvement projects.
Set up and ensure accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for all processes.
Ensure compliance to internal control standards.
Support incoming transitions by ensuring successful integration of processes into current operations.
Subject Matter Expert
Act as the GBS representative for design and enhancement of SAP VIM / SAP HANA / 4S system.
Participate on regular SME calls with the 4S / Finance Project Team
Execute and coordinate change action items to the impacted workstreams and/or sub-streams.
Assist in User Acceptance Testing phase of 4S Program
Understand Detailed Process Design
Identify gaps between as-is and to-be processes and raise legal requirements as identified to be considered in the design
Support Detailed Design Sign off in relation to 4S Program
Participate on Integration Testing
Review Communication & Training Materials
Support and participate on the global data cleansing activities
Attend all relevant meetings and provide inputs as necessary
Lead and facilitate all meetings within GBS and coordinate progress to the workstreams regularly and timely
Train all GBS team members in the new 4S processes
Provide frequent status updates to AP Workstream
Contribute and support change management activities to integrate 4S into operations
Operations
Contribute to the improvement of SLA result of Accounts Payable Workstream
Implement improvement action items that will result to better productivity and KPI result of AP Workstream such as Overtime Reduction and analysis of KPI/SLA result at regional and individual contributor level.
Ad Hoc Duties
Participate in OHI Survey and Employee Engagement Activities, Fundamentalist's Team Activities as initiated by Admin, HR and Management.
What you will bring
At least 5 years of relevant experience within the Finance / Accounting department of a large corporate organisation, including 1 year of coaching/teaching experience
Possess strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices and internal policies
Well versed with ERP specifically SAP / VIM and other business / accounting tools.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (proficiency in conversational and business english language both written and verbal).
