Duties and Responsibilities
- Accompanies and assists EMT Nurse on calls in transporting sick, injured or recovering persons.
Places patients on stretchers and loads stretchers into ambulances usually with assistance from other attendants.- Administers first aid such as bandaging, splinting and administering oxygen.
Removes and replaces solid linens and equipment to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Replaces supplies and disposable items on ambulance.
Inspecting the ambulance before each shifty, checking the fuel, oil, transmission fluid, wiper fluid, and coolant and reporting any needed repairs.- Checking the first aid medical supplies inventory levels before each shift and ensuring the ambulance is well-stocked.
Sanitizing the ambulance and safely disposing any medical waste and soiled linens.
- Maintaining your driving log with daily entries and noting patients names and address, travel times, mileage and service performed.
Reporting accident facts to medical personnel and police officers when necessary.
Educational Attainment
- College undergraduate of any course or any equivalent on vocational and technical graduate.
With valid Drivers License
