AITO Specialist APAC
The primary duty of this role is to support the delivery of tactical solutions within the AITO projects and implementation of related AIT activities in the Philippines market. Activities and tasks carried out by the AITO Specialist will be aligned with the AITO Manager responsible for the market. This will include the development and maintaining of business relationships with law enforcement, local government officials, other public and private organizations and internal stakeholders (Sales, CA&C, Legal etc) with the aim of raising awareness of and combatting the illegal tobacco trade. The AITO Specialist will gather and assess local information regarding the illegal tobacco trade and play a leading role in disseminating that and other information developed from AITO projects either in the market or from the region. The AITO Specialist will assist in implementing the Market AIT action plan by preparing an engagement strategy with local law enforcement authorities, such as Police, Bureau of Internal Revenue offices, Bureau of Customs, Coast Guard, Navy and others as may be appropriate. Such work will be focused on combating the illegal tobacco trade, including ensuring that JTI and its business partners are complying with the JTI supply chain policy and other business requirements in his area of assignment.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and assist AITO Manager to manage AIT Projects, undertake robust financial planning and control, to deliver and communicate the work plan and proposal to the line manager ensuring the work meet financial and investigative objectives and are justified and proportionate to the information and level of suspected illicit activity.
- Complying with AITO Standard Operating Procedures to conduct investigations by gathering information on all aspects of the illegal trade through cooperation with service providers and to disseminate intelligence on the illegal trade in tobacco and its related products with various Law Enforcement (LEA) and Government Agencies.
- To support the organization of AIT awareness sessions for LEAs, wholesalers and retailers. It is will also require to have basic forensic skill to identify the authenticity of the products and send the samples to Quality Assurance Team for detail analysis and profiling.
- Prepare detailed reports/updates on the progression of projects and core objectives, maintain proper record in the iBase and AITO databases, including development and analysis of intelligence on all aspects of the illegal trade.
- Be prepared to travel to within domestic market & in the region when required to support AITO work.
Who We Are Looking For - Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in or College Diploma with Police Science or related
- 3-5 years experience in law enforcement/intelligence services and other related relevant experience in private industry.
- Must speak and write English and Tagalog fluently and MS Office confident user. Fluency in another language would be a plus.
- Ability to confidently liaise and communicate with local law enforcement authorities including police officers, officials from Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Internal Revenue etc. and internal stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
